About

Hi there!
I have been teaching kindergarten for a very long time and cannot think of any other profession that is so rewarding!

One of my passions is showing my students how to use construction paper, glue, and paint to create amazing collages as illustrations for thematic books or posters.

When I am not teaching, I love to work on my quilting...I am definitely NOT a professional.....

In the summer, I spend hours and hours in my flower gardens!

I have been married to my best friend for a VERY long time! We have 3 grown children. Our oldest son is married to a very lovely girl!

We own a corn and soybean farm.....

This is a view from the pasture where our few head of Hereford cattle graze.

We also have a small orchard where we grow a few varieties of apples which I like to bring into school in the fall and show my students how apple cider is made....

I have a school garden and love working on it in the spring and summer....

I am passionate about the decline of the Monarch butterfly population. I have added milkweed and nectar plants to garden at school and at home. We find Monarch butterfly eggs, raise them to adulthood, and release them.

I teach in a Catholic School and love being able to bring my spirituality into my classroom each day.

My two favorite places to visit are South Haven, Michigan and San Francisco, California!

Thank you for visiting! It means so much to me to have you here!
